Spine check, Do I have scoliosis?

Scoliosis affects 2-3 percent of the population, or an estimated six to nine million people in the United States. Most scoliosis can develop in infancy or early childhood. Some could develop overtime due to imbalance posture (ex. one sided bag) and having weak back muscles.

So how do check if you have one?

Have a friend or just take a video, lean forward and check if your back is imbalanced.

If you have a slight scoliosis, it usually shows a small tilt on your back. The worse your scoliosis, the worse the tilt.

Ask a specialist that could help you with your condition. Be conscious with your posture so that it won’t get worse.

Take note that scoliosis can’t be cured. It could be prevented from worsening and can be managed if you have one. There are lots of options from exercise/sports, back supports, chiropractor, and worse case, surgery.

If you’re already operated with scoliosis, make sure you manage it by working out and having good supplementation.
